▪  Original school was built in 1876. It was 18' x 22'. The first teacher was Amanda McConnell.

▪  The school year was divided into 3 terms:  2 months - fall term, 4 months - winter term, and 2 months - spring term

▪  It was not unusual to have a different teacher each term.

▪  In 1903, a vote approved the building of a larger schoolhouse.

▪  Cost was $650.

▪  Size was 24.5' x 34.5'.

▪  In 1906, the old school was sold to Joe Sheeder for $51.

▪  The bell and belfry were added sometime between 1909-1913.

▪  During school district reorganization in 1958, Joe Warren saved and moved Baker #2 to the Guthrie Co. Fairgrounds.

▪  Cost of moving and restoring the schoolhouse was approximately $800.
