▪ P.E.T.S. (Protecting Even the Strays) is a local organization concerned about the large population of neglected, stray, and feral* cats in Panora, Iowa.
▪ P.E.T.S. also focuses on the welfare and treatment of all domestic animals in Panora and seeks to work with and assist the city, law enforcement, and members of the community.
▪ P.E.T.S. consists of volunteers only. P.E.T.S. is not a shelter nor do we have a shelter. Unfortunately, there is currently no shelter for lost or stray animals in the City of Panora or in Guthrie County. We do our very best to assist anyone who requests our help, however, we are volunteers helping with our own time and money so we are limited in some respects and do hope you will work with us and help us as much as you can. Thank you.
*Feral cats are domestic cats that, through birth or circumstance, have reverted to the wild, living outdoors in urban, suburban, and rural environments with little or no human contact. |
